As Hermès is a design company that has historically always been associated with equestrian activities, I did my research for rider x echo by examining medical encyclopaedias for horses. I came across this amazing image of comparative skeletons of man and horse in action, showing all the different joints and parts in both the rider and horse’s bodies. After completing my hand drawing, the final image was transported into Photoshop. The image was further refined and manipulated and eventually copied across to form a rhythmic pattern. This image is powerful as well as playful and it also shows an influence of the current gothic trend in fashion. The background colour is taken from the distinctive orange colour of the original Hermès logo.
