ray travel light by Dan Hauck from usa

My name is Dan Hauck and I am the sole inventor,designer and artist behind Ray.The title of this project is a reference to a ray of light - thin, bright and a welcome sight in dark moments. In thinking about the nature of light and, in turn, artificial light (including organic emitters!), it seemed to me the hierarchy of benefit assumed this order: Quality of life, Safety, Work, and Entertainment. Following this order, I wanted to create an object that would be simple to use, durable, lightweight, aesthetic and functional. Ray is made from OLED material, photovoltaic film, an energy cell/battery with a steady and pulsed light, and a flexible co-molded silicone and polypropylene frame. Since OLED's are very energy efficient, their power can be derived from solar.
RAY is chargeable, portable, wearable, multipurpose, light weight,slim, versatile, enhances safety, durable, and visually pleasing.
RAY can be used by bicyclists,children, students, teachers, in cafe's and bars, by night workers, relief workers, outdoor enthusiasts and anyone in need of a great light source!
