WHAT IS IT?
At the current bus stop, you can take shelter from rain. But raindrops dripping from all directions make you wet. Because of that, we made the RAIN STREAM. It leads the flow of the rainwater to one side. And it also reuses the rainwater to grow some trees.
BACKGROUND
There are lots of buildings on the Seoul street. But it’s hard to find trees on the street except an arboretum or some special places. When it rains, the current bus stop serves for a shelter.
But raindrops dripping from all directions make you wet. So we suggest the environment-friendly bus stop. It reduces inconvenience of wetting with raindrops and reuses the rainwater to grow trees.
CONCEPT
We adopted an oblique line to lead the flow of the rainwater to trees naturally. When it rains, RAIN STREAM stores the rainwater in the tank of its roof. When it dosen’t rain, it provides the stored rainwater to trees through osmotic pressure system.
Thus, we changed a bus stop environment-friendly space from just-waiting space.
DETAIL
Osmotic pressure is the hydrostatic pressure produced by a solution in a space divided by a differentially permeable membrane due to a differential in the concentrations of solute.
If the bus stop takes a lot of sunlight, the trees get dry for the lack of water. In that case, its density of water gets lower.
It’s the principle that water flows naturally from high density(its tank) from low density(the trees).
