push/pull: peter bristol by peter bristol from usa
designer's own words:
intuitive solutions help create seamless interactions in the man made world. push pull creates such a solution in a door handle. since the action required is different on each side of the door, why not the interaction itself? the push "button" tells you simply to push in order to open if the door swings out, while the "pull" handle communicates the pull that is required on the side of the door swinging in. An elegant and effective way to simplify the process of opening doors.
