prigione by davide tuberga from italy
designer's own words:
the handle "prigione" is inspired by the works of the master michelangelo buonarroti's "prisons", particular sculptures which forms seem to be "wanting" to go out of the matter on their own. in a similar way I tried to get out of metal a shape that reminds us of the common lines of a handle: my goal was to create something that everyone of us could recognize at first glance, highlighting the difference in style between ancient and modern forms. this handle is made of glossy surface brass, respecting the technical parameters of compatibility with other standardized parts.
