playcube by Hiren Ganatra from india
designer's own words:
The idea behind this furniture piece for the library was to create maximum engagement and raise curiosity levels. Our users
in this case were kids aged 5-12 who require a space to read and learn. This is a furniture piece that
constantly transforms, where each action reveals a new spatial arrangement for the kids to explore.
In addition to be being a giant toy that constantly allows students to interact with, it also serves as a
system of seating and shelving. An element of surprise is added when the stark white box starts to open
up into a colourful ergonomic environment.
