the design intention is to reduce the visual impact of the handle by shortening the spindle in the mechanism and merging the handle axis with the rose piece.
it uses ball bearings to keep the axis from deviating.
the handle is made in bent steel rod, the clamp piece is made by metal injection moulding and the rose is stamped. the design admits many variations on colors and materials.
