#PIXELATEME by Haley Newman from usa

This collection serves as a reflective commentary in response
to the digital zeitgeist. My goal as a designer is to create a cross divide
between the physical and virtual realm of fashion. I challenge this through
sustainable and innovative textile development.

#PIXELATEME is inspired by the idea of a societal glitch we globally face;
being “pixelated” within the reality of the larger picture
of our environment, to look closer into the distortions our world
faces progressively.

The collection involves serious consideration
in bearing environmentally friendly processes of design and production, for
the Earth and the wearer, particularly derived through plant based, renewable fibers.

It is very important for me to approach fashion as a form
of activism, to promote the change and well being of approaching
clothing design to be equally friendly to the environment, as well as
being reflective of contemporary culture.
