designer's own words:
The golden ratio (phi) has been claimed to have held a special fascination for at least 2,400 years
It is also find in nature (for example shells and some flowers) and is believed to bring a pleasing, natural look in compositions.
A golden spiral is a logarithmic spiral whose growth factor is φ, the golden ratio.
This coffee table has been designed to be an effective focal point for any living space and is also a great conversation starter.
It is comprised of a glass tabletop that is frosted on its bottom side, and three legs.
Each leg has a spiral shape, and is made of powder coated, bent sheet metal of at least 3mm, welded on its base and on its central part to the other legs.
Three 406x50 flexible Oled panels are integrated onto each leg, and their light is reflected on the base, core and on the tabletop with a mesmerizing see-trough effect.
Power is brought by fabric covered electrical cord and an injection molded ring is holding a small power button, located on the central part of the table.
The base is a glass ring of the same material of the tabletop that adds stability to the structure and completes the design.
