Experimented on fabric(muslin)/Canvas to explore forming, and to come up with various other possibilities on this material using different techniques and processes.
The design brief for my project was to do forming in fabric without any stitching or cutting. Took inspiration from pebbles and created an organic structure.
I used different shapes and sizes of Pebbles(as mold) for forming in muslin. Using chemicals to make the fabric stiff and hard(a hollow structure). Surface treatment on muslin, experimentation of forming in fabric, creating 3D surfaces and used different forming techniques, end up achieving an elegant organic form. This structure can be made and used in any form for example as a part of architecture, wall art, Lighting, Installations, Garment, Bags etc.
