Party Animal by linor kahlani from israel
designer's own words:
Party Animal was inspired by the magnificent artist and performer from the early 80's in London, Leigh Bowery.
Leigh was a performer, fashion designer and artist who used his body as a canvas and each night he went out clubbing in a different outfit he designed and made.
I was intrigued by his designs and creations, by the amount of details and colors and prints.
He is an inspiration to me, the way he designed his clubwear to couture and mixed high fashion with low fashion, mixing random objects with textiles to create a different genderless character every night.
As inspired by him, the materials I used were a fully printed flower fabric for the jumpsuit and hat, with metallic fabrics to create huge flowers on top of the floral print, and I embroided buttons, bells and sequins for the inside of the flower.
