paparazzo by nils kajander from finland
designer's own words:
the concept springs from breil’s recent tv-ads that are bold, yet subtly nostalgic – and co-starring a classic analog camera. yet ”paparazzo” doesn’t try to imitate one, but merely borrows forms and shapes from such, twisting camera’s features to serve its’ own purposes. for example the aperture ring makes an exciting date wheel and self-timer’s knob translates into a crown, whereas iris and aperture form a beautiful dial.
at the same time everything unnecessary is left out, which leads to a distinctive yet simple unisex-design, combining stainless steel (painted in black) and black leather band. design oozing with confidence and style that will always be in vogue.
now, strike a pose.
