designer's own words:

Orbit is a minimal task lamp that was inspired by space elements which is referenced from the orbit and the track of rising moon. This idea can corresponds to the futuristic feeling of the OLED technology. By understanding the advantage of OLED which is light and touchable, the direction of the design focus on the interaction between the lamp and the user.

The dimension and the light source can be adjusted by the user physically. The OLED light can be easily held on the fiberglass rod with rubber grip. User is allowed to take the OLED light away or add more onto it. Normally, light source of a general task lamp only goes to one direction and the light is always blocked at some situations. The flexible light adjusting of Orbit can solve the problem as it allows the light to come from different directions by moving the light along the arch. The adjusting of the fiberglass can be scaled down so that it fits on both large and small desk. The light can be charged with a wireless power charging pad.

Orbit is installed through clamping one side of the desk for withstanding the tension force created by the bending fiberglass rod. The cone shape base on the other side must be weight-added to stabilize which must be >10lbs. The case of the clamp, cone base and the light would be made of aluminium anodized in matte black color. Black color fiber glass rod in D3.0mm – D3.5mm would be the ideal size.

The Orbit is inspired by the track of the rising moon.
Orbit
Light directions can be changed by moving along the arch like rising moon.
Orbit
Light is held up with rubber grip. Angle can be freely tilted by user.
Orbit
By moving the cone base to adjust distance and the arch of the rod.
Orbit
Pulling down the rod at the clamp side allows to make the lamp smaller in size
Orbit
The lamp can be taken away and charging up with a wireless power charging pad
