designer's own words:

Teenagers are increasingly growing up in split families and find themselves dividing home, bedrooms and belongings between two or more locations.

This product aims to cater for teenagers on the move. It is both luggage and furniture, specifically designed to house a 'teenscape' of clothes, magazines, media equipment, boyfriends, girlfriends and general teenage dissorder!

NOMADIC YOOFF allows effortless transport between different homes, and also provides a comfotable chill-out zone for an individual or a group of friends. Most importantly of all, NOMADIC YOOFF stops the user feeling like they live out of a suitcase, and provides an opportunity to make a territorial claim wherever they go.

Nomadic Yooff was designed with a skate board aesthetic, using laminated plywood for the structure, and re-used jean denim for the upholstered parts. These materials improve with age and abuse, and form a visual language that is very much in the domain of the teenager.
