designer's own words:
Today, a teenager’s main interaction with furniture is lounging in front of the TV or napping. Myspace is built of a foam core wrapped in plywood and a layer of cushion. The foam allows the plywood to flex for comfort as well as hiding the ratcheted hinges that allow myspace to convert itself from a chair to a lounge and then a bed. The cushion is tapered to allow even comfort across the surface since the plywood flexes towards the middle. Myspace is also set low to the ground so excess furniture is not needed to place a snack or a drink next to the teen.
