designer's own words:
When I started working on this door handle, my aim was to create a smart, up-to-date and ergonomically well-designed object. The basic idea; a rectangular panel lies on a simple box on its longer side that is, at the lever’s ending, on its shorter side. The connection of the two rotated rectangles provides this twisted, architectonic form.
Concerning my conception, Alberto Alessi’s ‘philosophy’ has been highly influential as well; he asked architects to design coffee cups who, as a result of coming from another artistic platform, started their work in a slightly different way than designers who perfectly know the physical properties of porcelain.
