Moleskinerie signature is basicly made of one curved line, wich makes stylized first four letters, and turned upside down letter "l", of brands name. Bright pink colour and light flowing shape makes signature easily recognizible. Diaries, also planners and notebooks is on of the main personal things, where nobody else except you can look in, and what can be more personal than signature, so moleskine have one. Basic idea was to make logo out of handwriting, because in notebooks everything is so sketchy! Signature looks fast drawn, but at the same time it saves its strong shape.
