Moleskine

Moleskine by haulot pierre from france

designer's own words:

over time, the moleskine products became as indispensable companions for many artists, writers and ordinary mortals. humble and popular, they collect our thoughts and break down barriers. moleskine evokes both the elegance and sobriety that travel and escape.

through the logo i wanted to remind the creative and dream that only such basic products can offer. the analogy between the book and the ball (just waiting to fly) suggests the potential for spiritual elevation. the silhouette of the child for its reminds the field of remembrance of the past lived or dreamed (“madeleine of proust”, french writers), in short the “world of inner self”.

it is both simplicity and depth of this skit that evoked in me the name of moleskine.
