mobile kitchen unit by alexander bosnjak from india
designer's own words:
This mobile kitchen assistant is inspired from the Indian tradition where cooking it is a social event; a time when the women of the household come together in a common space, be it the veranda or the lawns. They chat and indulge in that very experience of an alchemist. This mobile kitchen platform provides enough space for two people to work opposite and do the pre-cooking-processes. It is equipped with: compost tray, tool groove, mortal and pestle, two small bowls, one big bowl; fitting into the big bowl there is a lid, a rough sieve, a fine sieve, and a grater. Apart from its benefits in the squat position, the traditional Indian working posture, this kitchen platform can be also be moved onto a sitting height table, enabling the user to work efficiently in standing position. It is fast and effective, thus reducing the number of times you would rush back to your kitchen to carry that extra bowl or grater, which you had forgotten. It is easy, clean and efficient, all the accessories of the kitchen platform can be disassembled cleaned and used elsewhere.
