Matsuyama – Immerse yourself

My promotion of the beautiful city of Matsuyama was to create a brand that reflected the creative, modern and traditional aspects. Beginnning with the logo, the tagline reads 'immerse yourself' which is in regards not only to the wealth of culture, art and history but the famous dogo onsen that one can immerse themselves in. The icon reflects the creative history of the city: the old, traditional craft of washi paper and the new technology of computer aided design and photography.
I accompanied the brand with a tourist map, again with the creative aspects of the logo - something that a tourist would keep and perhaps pin on their noticeboard and press into their travel journals - a mixture of aesthetic and practical. Matsuyama is a beautiful place and can be promoted well with design that reflect its beauty.
