The alphabetic character M as a simplified symbol for Moleskine is shaped in 3d. It shows book pages on the edge close to the contemplator. These pages refer to the Moleskine note book with which the company made revive a extraordinary tradition of the contemporary nomadism in 1997.
The logo is able to be printed in different colors and can be combined with multiple backgrounds. It's lining is simple to enable it to be engraved in a leather surface or cardboard cover. The perspective in which the M is shown refers to a perspective you take, when drawing, writing or taking notes in a situation to be recorded. As a logo for personal identity, it symbolyses the not moving, well rooted element in once life, that does not change: quality products for culture, travel, memory and imagination. jvh
