designer's own words:
The concept of the LVL-DECO series is concluded in a combination of the incongruous. Polar elements in the essence are harmoniously weaved into a whole. It is game of moods and perceptions.
LVL, one of the most reliable construction materials of the present, was chosen not casually. Possessing bigger moisture-proofness than the wood massif, it is used mainly for designs in hostile environment. Till this moment from LVL used as ridge beams, rafter feet and beams of interfloor overlappings. Idea to make sharp, in fact the forms, a material a basis for a series of a home decoration became for the author a creative call. At production of furniture the texture and the natural invoice of a material was kept. On some components even fragmentary there were stamps and series markings. Clearness of straight lines, gives confidence of stability and reliability.
The severity of geometry is softened by florid lines of ornamental inserts. Echoes of a modernist style bearing in - one of the most distinguished and graceful styles in the history of architecture. Besides a decor, carved butterflies which play an important functional role. In modular cubes and benches racks they act as opening doors. And in an experimental table having opened lateral blinds, it is possible to place comfortably two people.
The separate advantage of a series is its opportunity to transform. Thus the rectangular rack, can address in a bench. Or on the contrary cubes stools made at each other form an original column with books inside. The LVL-DECO collection doesn't limit her owner in creative rushes. Giving a scope for inspiration.
At thirst for modern minimalism and laconicism with use only eco materials the LVL-DECO project revives ornamentally - the architectural heritage being traditional for Petersburg.
