lume by giancarlo cutello from italy
designer's own words:
Usually we see a table positioned in the middle of a table so I thought why not unite the two functions. “Lume” is a table that thinks its a lamp or vice versa. The material may be modern but the design is inspired by the past. Obviously the structure is in coloured thermoformed corian and the shade in translucent corian. “Lume” is the perfect companion to a comfortable reading chair, or as an intimate setting for a dinner for two. The table would be equally at home in the domestic environment or hotel/wine-bar situation.
