Logo Moleskinerie @ mousey by oscar van wingen from netherlands
designer's own words:
the original moleskine logo shouldn't lose its power that it has gained over the years. therefore it remains directly recognizable and seems unchanged from a distance, but with a closer look, the serifs have taken a more playful appearance. furthermore, with the playful serif on the lower right edge of the last e, the “rie” takes on with a certain handwritten style. the big “r” determines the new character of the logo and is attached to the original logo, establishing unity and readability as a whole. the computer mouse at the end creates a nice ending of the logo and emphasizes the use for a blog. also, the “rie” part acts as a cord for the mouse, creating a nice image within the letters. the dot on the “i” is the finishing touch, completing the playful appearance inviting the blogger to feel free of posting their original work and opinions as an individual artist.
the logo remains legible in small sizes and is used in a single color.
