this project began with the initial dive into the moleskine website. the products, the history, the users, the blog's interface, the types of entries made on the moleskinerie blog. and then, an adventure to the library. i searched through aisles and aisles of books with collections of stories in them. i captured images of the books, the spines, the typefaces, the illustrations used, the shapes of the books themselves, the curves of the pages, the smells of the pages. the ideas that kept coming back to me were creating, sharing, and making history as a community. then i took my sketches and ideas to the computer and finished them off with a fitting typeface. all designs were created in illustrator, properly outlined and proper rgb form.
