the project is based on the idea that slim forms are not very human friendly and the search for a human oriented product began. the proportions and the shape were carefully chosen to match those of an average human hand. a warm material like wood was considered to be the best choice, along with the steel structure and the plastic locking device. the handle can be made entirely out of recycled materials resulting an eco-friendly product. this new locking mechanism can reduce the usage of other door hardware elements with a similar functionality. the manufacture process does not require special operations and the product can be easily realized with the existing technology. it is a fresh new product through it's shape and functionality.
