Lissage

Lissage by beernaert nico from belgium

designer's own words:

a door handle calls to leave a room to occupy another. it means "passage". it is the articulation between two spaces, an element of a partition which when activated makes the inaccessible accessible. this element becomes a reality by smoothing: "the passage" takes shape in the progression from one form to another. the chromed flat rectangular grip becomes gradually circular to enter into the chromed round rosette which seems as such to be the origin of the grip.

from the metallurgical industry, the brightness and the feel of the handle direct our hand. daily, the sleek silhouette of this door handle will induce, by its sculpture, a delicate manipulation that blends with the forms of the surrounding architecture.
