Visitors will be invited to an impactful geometrical world of the holiday season. These bold shapes created a festive environment where visitors can decorate the Christmas tree together while have an amazing experience in the snow world.
The main concept derived from the traditional craft of Maki-e in Japan. Maki-e is a traditional Japanese decorating lacquer technique. Its name is a combination of two Japanese words which means sprinkled picture. The craftsmen sprinkle the lacquerware with gold or silver powder as a decoration by using a makizutsu or a kebo brush. Visitors are able to use the gold paint and powder to decor the lacquered Christmas tree, so everyone can share their stories or wishes on the tree. The tree will be fabricated with eco-friendly material and finishes.
After the holiday, this tree, with all the best wishes from Japan and all over the world will preserved and the top part will reuse for next year, witnessing from the past to the future and promoting the sustainable development.
