Legendary notebook by miguel diogo gomes from portugal

the idea behind this logo meets the origin of this legendary notebook. the littleblack book with rounded corners, where great thinkers and artists as vincent van gogh, pablo picasso and ernest hemingway wrote down their ideas, that later, originated the moleskine notebooks. with this in mind, i could not pass up the opportunity to represent it on the logo.

i started by creating the structure of the logo, recreating the notebook, with rounded corners and its elastic page-holder. bearing in mind that these notebooks are used mostly by artists from all areas, i thought it would be a good fit to represent these same artists through a pencil. this object is what gives life to the notebook as it is with it that all thoughts and ideas that arise are pointed out.

i opted for a monochromatic tone because it makes the logo easier to reproduce, in whatever surface, and can even change its color tone because the look will always remain the same, without losing quality or detail. through black/white contrast, created by the monochrome tone, i highlighted the text from everything else, making it more readable.
