LEAF

LEAF by erwin lao from singapore

designer's own words:

leaf inspired the projects towards the formation of our childhood memory when we are drawing a leaf. when the fresh green leaves are all around our community life, when the leaves are the objects for conversation and creativity. unlike nowadays, in our city-living where the leaves stays on the trees and dry-out on the ground and ends up being swept by the gardener and burnt. the memory sounds like it is long gone. this project is with the hope to reinvent the reminiscence of nature in all of us.

the lever is shaped in an elegant leaf like contour that connects to the round rose that forms the xylem and phloem formation of a chopped branch. the door handle is finished in the combination of satin finish and polish finish. these finishes plays their major role in the xylem phloem formation of a chopped branch. the lever itself is finish in the satin finish.
