la ola by felix van de sand from germany
designer's own words:
A simple bookcase with swing shelves. What need is there for bookends if books can support themselves?
Two laths acting as the supporting element are screwed at the top, leaned against the wall and stretched apart with the bottom shelf that has two spikes on both endings that adjust the laths. The top of the carrier element is leaned against the wall and then leaves the wall with an angle of 7 degrees which guarantees secure standing.
The bottom of the shelves are to retract the carrier profile from the side. "La Ola" can be dismantled and rebuilt easily and quickly.
