kvakva door handle

kvakva door handle by zoran sunjic from croatia

designer's own words:

ever wondered how does mother nature construct. what would nature do if she has rapid prototyping (?)
would she be waiting for billions of years for evolution to show her skills.
while creating this handle named "kvakva" (duck sound - also term "kvaka" in Croatian means "door handle) first thing we had in mind was coming back to the source.
back to elementary school of form and design. using common techniques and materials for this product we simply avoided any discussion on technological issues.
all door handle are basically made to blend in, but not this one. grasp "kvakva" and make a statement. define your contemporaneity.
