Knocking on heaven's door

Knocking on heaven's door by ambroise maggiar from italy

designer's own words:

KNOCKING ON HEAVEN'S DOOR

TOC! TOC! TOC! Can I get in ?

A reflexion on this very symbolic and common cultural act brought the question of considering it as an interaction between a human being and an "object being".

A closed door is always a mistery to elucidate, by entering the room.

The way we knock at the door should not depend on the door itself, its material, but on our mood, attitude, and feeling. It has to be an expression of our intentions.

The system is made of seven musical elements (drums) that can be "stimulated" on both sides.
All of them are surrounded by a transparent glass part to give a basic information : might someone be inside ?
Each one of them is an interpretation of a basic note : DO RE MI FA SOL LA SI.
The handle represents the eighth note DO.

The disposition allows children and adult to express therselves. A dialogue can start.

But, as it is made of real skin like a battery, those sounds could change according to the temperature and the humidity on one side or another.

Natural materials sound human.

The door is not a simple separation anymore, it becomes a way of being identified and stimulating our creativity throught a musical interface.

And now, what will you knock on heaven's door ?
