designer's own words:
this handle represents a contrast between different forms in nature: the long, thin wooden bar, with a soft, natural touch crossing the robust, cold, stonelike metal shape. the primary influence came from bamboo sticks. the handle got it's name for it looks like a crudely sculpted hand holding a stick. the bar is made of polished pine or other light colored wood, the basis from brass with a mat grey or mat chrome finish.
