designer's own words:

In our food culture, whenever we have meals, we can see many kinds of hot-pots in our table. When we concentrate on their traits, we can find one common thing. That is "the heat"; we generate the heat when we cook them.
But we are losing a lot of energy while we cook, further more we don't realize it
A pot is getting hot when we heat it to cook. Not only the heat which is made from the pot when we cook can be used to make the food warm but it's also make a loss of heat.
I introduce the idea which can save the energy by raising continuance rates to make up for weak points.
This new pot stand can keep the energy in a pot for a while, and it can make it easy to save the energy and to reduce using gas energy by reusing that.
And I also design it not to create customers confuse by emphasising the sides between absorption and excretion.
