ka sa

ka sa by saeko murakami from japan

designer's own words:

I don’t like rainy days, but when I open my umbrella, I always feel relief.
Maybe that’s because, my umbrella protect me from…the rain, and the others.
The person who can enter my umbrella means, the person who is special to me.

At one rainy night, I looked up spontaneously, and found the shining particle.
A rain-drip from the umbrella,
efforting not to drop down,
absorbing the night light from the town,
wriggles himself to and fro.
The image of the crystal, instead of the drip, popped into my mind.

KaSa
This crystal implanted umbrella should not be used as accessories.
This is ‘KaSa ( Casa )’, just for one’s own, as for one’s private space, one’s experience.
The running down rain-drips and the implanting crystals,
create the momentary dome, that is composed of light and water.
