First brief: FASHION DESIGN
Through this project, I will try to create a new kimono model adapted to urban and modern lifestyle. To keep the essence of kimono and put it in this project, I compared traditional kimono and modern suit.
I used two different textured fabrics : one for blue parts and another for white and black parts.
I worked on the detail (like sewing, pant pocket, sleeves) to highlight the kimono knowledge.
The global aesthetic combine suit simplicity, customizable part and kimono reference.
Thanks to this concept Japanese Businessmen could wear a kind of suit according to the Japanese culture, to promote kimono legacy.
