Itza Door Handle by vicente castanon-rumebe from canada
designer's own words:
the name Itza comes from the Chichen Itza ruins located in Yucatan, Mexico. the design of the door handle mimics the steps of the pyramids. these steps, translated in the handle invite the user to experience something unique. this shape accentuates the senses and curiosity that may only be satisfied through the use of the handle. I began the design through sketches, once satisfied with the idea I used the dimension example document provided to obtain rough measurement. I then created the door handle in Solidworks and made the plans. with my final idea in place, I rendered the piece to show the handle as a finished product.
