Ito Screens by jess fügler from usa
designer's own words:
the ito screens are inspired directly by the process ito jakuchu uses to create his paintings -- by layering colors that start with abstract notions and develop into detailed subjects. this process creates paintings filled with depth that reflect our natural world.
by positioning the different layers of the ito screens within a space, the user is able to manipulate their environment and the way it is perceived. within the wooden frame the dyed fibers form an abstract image of nature that creates an artificial reality around the user.
