The tourism industry aimed at creating attractive sights has a special place in the contemporary world. Plenty of examples testify the capability of this industry to change whole cities and regions. My work “I was here” deals with this very phenomenon.
LED sculpture “I was here” is an interactive object which allows recording and keeping images of visitors to the place to demonstrate them later in random order.
Thus, a display in the form of an abstract man showing images of the visitors to the place where it has been installed serves as an attractor for this particular place. Images of people alternate with text information concerning the most interesting events in the nearby cultural institutions (museums, theaters, galleries, etc.)
