hoy! juice cups line by luis henrique henning from brazil
designer's own words:
inspired in deconstructivism, the hoy! line for cups breaks the conventional shape of such objects of everyday life, leading to a different paradigm in ceramic design. in order to spice up the usual inertia and sleepiness of the first daily meal, it turns the “breakfast” into an actual experience of “breaking the fast”. in this product form does not follow function, challenging the orthodox principle of “good design”. here form follows the emotions, bringing different sensations on the act of drinking a simple coffee. its production uses three-piece plaster molds with liquid porcelain paste and the finishing is carried out using two glazes: colorful externally and white internally. hoy! line brings the brazilian swing to the everyday breakfast.
