The conventional hotplate is essentially a slab of exposed steel which is hot, which means it deters the user from fully enjoying the experience of a good meal.

The concept of the hotplate is for the user to have a sizzling meal with a piece of mind and no need of minding where his/her hands is when having their meal. The hotplate uses the same slab of steel but it is then put in a wood base and lid so there is no exposed hot steel.
