Hirosaki’s apple is famous worldwide. Not only because of the apple production, but also those apple related activities and tours. Inside the Hirosaki apple park, picking apples and sightseeing throughout the landscape are natural twins. In order to convey such two strongly related character, this design of apple shelf, which is used to display apples to tourists, tries to abstract and synthesis the shape of mount Fuji and apple tree. Simple forms and materials are utilized to make the design idea as transparent as possible. The shelf itself can be used in gift shops, open plazas and homes as well.
