HappyAppy, a virtual dancing critter, was inspired by the perpetual motion of good deeds. It makes you smile as you dance with it and encourages you to share the smile with someone else.  

To begin, HappyAppy can be first downloaded at specific physical, geofenced locations around a city. Then, by just bumping phones, HappyAppy can be shared freely with friends anywhere. This method of obtaining HappyAppy illustrates the core principle of the app, sharing with others while maintaining what you have to increase the overall database.

When it first enters your phone, HappyAppy performs the dance which was interactively programmed by the previous person. You can customize new moves for it through the motion of your phone. HappyAppy dances from person to person, appearing on each phone only for a short time.

The collective string of dance moves is compiled and displayed publicly at physical locations. Anyone, without the app, can also experience HappyAppy’s playful dance and spread some cheer in the city.
