while drawing some sketches of different door handles i decided to create something new. something different to the usual basic geometrical forms. the look at a corkscrew served as inspiration for me. my handle is a little more massive than its model but it is expected to be still light. it was important for me that it didn't appear too massy. the edges are angular but the tip should be rounded to reduce the risk of injury.
i have chosen a man-made material, such as aluminium that has a pleasant surface feel as well or perhaps colored acrylic glass, in contrast to spiral-shaped forms in flora and the dna strand.
