handly

handly by giorgio cattano from netherlands

designer's own words:

a simple design with a low cost production.
a metal plate is laser cut and folded.
the form clearly expresses how a handle works. the circle recalls the rotational movement, and the straight segment represents the lever.
the plate is welded to the central tube.
a variation adds a plastic cylinder that connects the handle to the door’s surface.
in this option the rose is replaced by a thin plate and the mechanism is hosted inside the cylinder.
