the idea behind this design is creating a handle based on two forms - a 'core' and a 'shell'. the core (or inner part) is represented by the rose in the form of a chamfered box. the shell is encompassing the core and one of its sides which is elongated forms the handle itself. all edges are chamfered and the whole silhuette is simple yet elegant.the two elements can be produced from one and the same material (metal) or be in contrast (metal and plastic, metal and wood, etc.)
