RATIONAL CONCEPT

A gull flies high in the sky at dawn backlit with large open wings in search of prey; is a protected bird, a universal symbol of freedom. As such iconic image was taken in the production Moleskinerie: knowledge "is" freedom. The structural relationship signified / signifier is extended by the peculiar morphology of the symbol that "translates" the object "gull" in "book" by matching, with orthographic view, wings to the pages and the lower body to the spine of the book .
