green home by Desislava Ivanova from bulgaria
designer's own words:
We designed an interior space - hotel room which has a corridor, bath + toilet, bedroom, seating zone, storage spaces. It is a multiple functions room created with sustainable materials - recycle and renewable materials; energy saving lamps; occupant sensors to reduce the potable water demand; also is installed “Daylight responsive control of lighting”. Objectives for using daylight responsive controls are energy savings, visual comfort and reduction of cost. We create a “green” interior.
The inspiration for the project is the Nature and its properties – sustainable, renewable, recycle, powerful. We integrate the Nature in the interior. For the hotel room we use the Golden ratio – “The Golden Ratio is a universal law in which is contained the ground-principle of all formative striving for beauty and completeness in the realms of both nature and art, and which permeates, as a paramount spiritual ideal, all structures, forms and proportions, whether cosmic or individual, organic or inorganic, acoustic or optical; which finds its fullest realization, however, in the human form.” —Adolf Zeising.
The room symbolizes a three. The stripes everywhere are the branches; the levels are the nests and hollows of birds, squirrels, insects etc. There are a wall- and floor cupboards for the human use of the space. The dominated colours in our interior are the white and green colour. The White is mixed by all colours in perfect balance and harmony. The Green colour symbolizes nature.
