designer's own words:
Adding another dimension to the ‘regular’ wooden surface of parquette floors by integrating colored paper with wood. By laminating the two in a specific arrangement of layers and followed by planing, results in a surface which is even and smooth and gives an appearance of one material.
This new material can be used as an alternative to ceramic floor tiles creating a repetative pattern reminiscent of the old style of decoration in the floor.
